Hey, RW, I was hoping the very recent discovery that water once flowed on Mars would kinda vindicate old Percival, seeing as he was a very distant relative and all. Maybe not "man-made" but flowing water could have carved channels.

Some channels have been found in orbiter photography, but none where the old drawings showed. We’ll probably find Mars to be vastly more varied than anybody a century ago suspected, and nothing like what they imagined.
