Thats because the vast majority of applications that run on XP run just as well on Vista. No they don't quite a lot of old proprietary business software is intentionally disabled by Vista. If you were running a heating and air company, and your manual J software wouldn't work anymore after getting a supposed operating system upgrade - you would be just as unhappy as a lot of the people driving the big Vista backlash.
Business people don't care if you can still play recent games or not
