I am so happy to see this finally over. This idiot liberal and her lawyers have dragged this case out over several years. She was offered a deal and could have been out in just a few years, but turned it down, thinking that by holding protests and making the public aware of her plight (”poor widdle violin teacher/mommy”), there was no jury that would find her guilty.

Too bad, so sad. I wonder who will take care of the little girl, though. The guy in the pictures is her brother, I think. I don’t remember seeing anything about a dad. And no mention of her parents (who she probably spit on when she was 18 and knew everything).

Judge, for justice and for the protection/upbringing of 3-year-old Kalliope, please make an example out of Briana Waters - 20 years.

(sorry - been following this on FR and Seattle press for a few years. Nice to see it finally ending.)

Yes, it is good to see it coming to an end and you’re right, she should have taken the plea. Some of the family got as little as 3 and 4 year sentences and that’s probably what she’d have gotten had she cooperated.

I don’t know for a fact but the different articles I’ve read starting just prior to her trial beginning have all referred to him as her husband or “partner.” Whatever he is he doesn’t look like a dad but then he may be fine.
