Ill send him a fresh batch of bran muffins to help with the exchange process.
LOL! Let's just hope that he never gets to the point, that some old folks do, and start talking about his bowel movements during press conferences.

I wish those here daily (er, hourly) bashing John McCain would take the time to listen to him. Click my name and see if there's any chance I've heard him before.

Yes you are correct that the context of those statements are in a speech McCain says he hopes to give (but can’t guarantee he can actually do) after his first term.
However, I waould say I have serious doubts that he is going to be working all out to get these things, given his past history. Especially border stuff.
And if he really thinks HE is the guy that can get democrats to work with him, he is either unrealistic or believes he has more power than he actually has.

Unless he has an ace in the hole.....
I think he has two such cards. Lindsey Grahm and Joe Liberman. I think that the Senate can be run by McCain, Liberman and Grahm. They can gather enough bipartisen votes to pass or grind things to halt. Both have apppeared with him on several occassions. They are there for a reason.

You are the very dense one. He was speaking in January 2013..... at the end of his term.
The efforts now underway will be certified by the border state governors and the borders have been secured.

OTOH, some of us FReepers have heard such ridiculous blatherings from Juan McCains mouth over the years that we have a very healthy scepticism regarding him. Quite frankly, I do not trust him. Neither should you. That is the most important point to be made. I could have sworn FR was a place for grass roots conservatism. A place where we squash liberalism and work to show the fallacy of socialist and liberal philosophy. If the founder of this site says we must all support McCain and we must say only nice things about him, even when we know we would be lying, we would leave voluntarily. The McCain believers are just going to have to face reality, some people are not going to vote for him and are not going to be silenced by a bunch of liberal GOP hacks.

I wish those here daily (er, hourly) bashing John McCain would take the time to listen to him. McCain was explaining why Republicans shouldn't disagree so much with Democrats. As a token of his sincerity, he's going to support most of their issues.

LOL, you again....
If you are going to continue posting your suspect list of grievances with McCain, the least you could do is get rid of #1 on the list. The “Gang of Fourteen” was a scheme of sheer political genius and its inclusion on that list you constantly post (to the point of being obnoxious) makes you look like a moron.

No one is asking for purity, just a solid, trustworthy conservative. We are conservatives because we don’t vote for or support monetarily or otherwise anything or anyone that we consider to be liberal.
