Great photo, give the dog a beer!
My daughter had two German Shepherds but had to find a new home for them as they barked at night and annoyed the neighbors.

Maybe the one the journalist saw was a German Shepherd and he assumed....
Then the photog took a picture of a different one!
If they had one with a chocolate lab on it I would buy one, and if it had a bull-mastiff I would buy two for my mom! ;)

I would say that if it's o.k. for me it's o.k. for the dogs, but I'm not running 250 yard marks in a fur coat in hot weather!
It's actually very good stuff and does seem to perk them up when they're hot and tired. You mix up a quart and let them drink 1/4 of it before they start, and then sip the rest throughout the working period.
