Do you think they will introduce Lucifer into the new BSG?
Supernatural is another good series.
Can’t wait for Eureka, Monk, Psych and Burn Notice (Gee, USA has a lot of good shows.)
I really like Stargate too... I had the worst timing, though, cause I started watching SG-1 literally only weeks after it went off the air (I’d catch random episodes when I was a kid and bored, but I don’t remember much other than the fact that I liked it because lots of things exploded and there were wormholes and astrophysics). Anyways, I’m hoping I’ll catch up on Atlantis before the next season starts, I don’t think it’s quite as good (and it doesn’t have quite as many explosions) but it’s still a lot better than most of the other stuff I find on TV these days...
I never could get into BSG for some reason... the camera work annoyed me to no end (shaky cameras are only OK if they’re supposed to be someone’s handycam), and so did the lady in the red dress. I don’t know why I wasn’t interested, cause it wasn’t for a lack of action, spaceships, explosions, etc., but I found it really hard to watch, and I wouldn’t care less if all the characters were to suddenly die or something.
PS. WHEN are all these episodes on? I’ve seriously never seen SG-1 on recently except once earlier in the year when it was something like 2 AM and I was channel-surfing looking for something to play in the background while I did my homework, and once last year on a local broadcast channel.
The SciFi channel is the main source for SG-1 and it was one of their prime time leaders for years. They are showing reruns now and I think Monday evening is the regular slot. There is one on tonight (Monday) at 6pm on the SciFi channel, for instance.
The shaky cameras I can live with (although, no, I don’t like them either) but the background sound (aka Noise) just kills me — especially when the characters are talking fast or whispering. I’ve had to rewind, mute and read the close-captioning a couple of times. (By the way, this is really good for Dr. Who and Torchwood — especially Torchwood — when I can’t decipher the accents as fast as the dialogue is going.)
Occasionally, they run marathon. This happened this past Friday and two weeks ago. Again, if I hadn't had an automatic timer set on the dish, I would've missed it.
Saturday night (sunday morning, really) there's another two hours on. Each time period seems to show a different part of the series run. I have stuff saved that is around episode 110, episode 138-142 and episode 202+. I try to watch the earliest shows on the dish when I watch.
It was annoying that they had one later show that was essentially a clip-show with a minor plot to it. I saw the endings of about half a dozen earlier episodes that I hadn't seen yet.
Ah, I’m usually in class during those times, because I like night classes, and I’ll take a night class over a class before 11 AM any day of the week (including friday).
I also hate those episodes that are just clips of everything that’s gone on before, cause they usually feel like a lame excuse for a ‘filler’ episode. However, I’m not so annoyed about seeing the ends of episodes I haven’t seen yet, because having watched it occasionally as a kid, I wound up realising ‘hey, I’ve seen this before, I know what happens’ during some important episodes anyways (especially the last two episodes of season 5, and the end of season 6/start of season 7).
Doctor Who was excellent this week. A real tour de force. BSG was pretty good but what is the point of a cliff hanger if you are going to spoil it in the coming week’s previews?
Sarah Jane was also pretty good.
I don’t know.. I kinda wish that Ron would bring Count Iblis.... That would be cool if they bring Lucifer back.. Maybe we will see the classic tin cans again..

I urge you to rent and watch the S-F series Babylon 5. It starts slow, but stick with it and by Season Two you'll agree that it's one of the finest S-F series ever made. Season Three will knock your socks off...
I caught a bit of the tail end of season 3 and most of season 4 when it aired. I didn't have cable for season 5. (Funny thing is that the first two times I watched it was about 3 months apart -- and I caught the SAME episode. A little annoying, except that the first time, I only saw the last 25 minutes!)
Last time it was on SF I was waiting for the Finale, which I SHOULD HAVE been able to see for free, but it got bumped to cable, which I didn't have and couldn't get at the time, but somehow I missed it. The showed part of the first season and then took it off the air. Hasn't returned since.
Oh, well.
We stand on the bridge and no one may pass,
We go into the dark places where no one Will go,
We live for the one....
Between the candle and the star...
I think B5 can be seen for free I just can’t remember where..
I agree on that part... Also B5 broke the Trek monopoly it had on American Sci-Fi..
I search for it every now and then. I can state for a fact that it isn't on the air in NYC, any of the UHF stations around NYC, WGN in Chicago or any national basic cable. It's possible that it's on a local cable channel that isn't carried by Dish Network. (I can search all the channels they offer, even the ones that I don't get ... I guess that's to induce me to subscribe to more channels for I won't miss anything.)
