I can’t do Birkies. Mom loved ‘em and so does my sister...but I got pancake-flat feet, and Birkenstocks hurt.
I like Tevas, but it sure would be nice if someone made Birkenstock style sandals for those of us who are a bit lacking in the arch department.
But yeah, there’s usually cold air blowin’. Hence the clogs. They’re ugly, but they work. Unless I have to run.
I can’t run no matter what shoes I wear, since I’m so out of shape.
I'd love to wear clogs on board, but I'm usually changing planes when flying South, and, as you pointed out, I don't want to have to run in those things. Wiping out in the concourse wouldn't be a pretty sight. I just wear the sneakers, and they're velcro closures so it's easy to take them off for Security and put them back on.
