Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Here I go! Started my urine test. I’m having an “episode”. Cold shivers, facial tingling, pale fingers, headache, blurry vision, queasy stomach.
BP is 150/100...not as bad as some but I’m still on the catapress patch.
I have to pee in a little brown jug for the next 6 hours. Pray whatever is causing this shows up in enough quantities to verify!

It's oleander. Won't grow above Zone 8. Dang it.
Good luck with that!
You can get it at an automotive paint supply store. Metal finishing requires finer abrasive than wood does. Lots of different metal finishing compounds at Brownells, too.
You need to get on their catalog mailing list, just so you and Jen can share those quiet winter evenings reading it.
I'd give the Gideons competition, and leave a catalog in every hotel room.
Congrats to Jr.!
Glad you’re getting to see the neurologist. How soon?
Oh, and my Doc’s office called this morning. The INR was good, and I don’t have to continue the Lovenox shots. I had gotten pretty good at giving them to myself! I have three doses left, in pre-packaged syringes, which are good till 1/2011, so I’m holding on to them. I’ll ask my Cardiologist when would be the best time to use them. I’m thinking, in the event we’re traveling, and I have an event of A-Fib and I’m more than a day from home.
Prayers up, hon! I put you back on our Parish Prayer list this week, for an accurate diagnosis!
Hah, soon as I saw it, and even before I read your comment, I was thinking Oleander. They sure are pretty! But you know, they’ve tweaked the Zone maps the last few years, and if you’re close enough to the ocean, it might work fine in your yard.
Afternoon tea funkle!
Mmmm... funkle tea...
Isn’t oleander poisonous?
Pretty, though.
funkle tea? What’s that taste like? lol
Ya know...that sounds good, too. And also cheap and easy...and doesn’t involve having to boil water in hot weather.
Do you just use a can of each?
If Mom ever made three bean salad, she put wax beans and/or green beans in, as I recall, rather than the white beans. So...could do that, too. Probably should make it Friday so it can sit overnight, if I do that.
Neat - I might have to pick up a copy...
Hope the doc has some good insights for ya!
That stuff's poisonous. And a favorite landscaping shrub throughout southern AZ.
Hmmm...
Mine?
