I can’t do Birkies. Mom loved ‘em and so does my sister...but I got pancake-flat feet, and Birkenstocks hurt.
I like Tevas, but it sure would be nice if someone made Birkenstock style sandals for those of us who are a bit lacking in the arch department.
But yeah, there’s usually cold air blowin’. Hence the clogs. They’re ugly, but they work. Unless I have to run.
I can’t run no matter what shoes I wear, since I’m so out of shape.

You saw that, huh? ;-) I washed it and was tryin’ to get it to dry... I moved it inside of thenewcar in hopes of baking it dry.
It’s a dorky hat, but I may want it. I know a hat came in handy last time I was there. I’m not used to that much sun...
My passport expired a few months ago, so I guess I’m *not* using that. But I think I’m almost ready otherwise. The house isn’t as tidy as I’d prefer, and I still need to take out the trash, change the fish’s water, and put the cat food / water where it will ultimately reside, in the kitchen.
Off to get churched up, and then a few last minutes of scrambling, and then I’m off. Eek. I’m just still feeling way out of my comfort zone. I know I did it before, but I’ve been a lot less adventurous of late, especially when it comes to going to places where I have to face strangers *alone*...
Breakfast sounds great! The Harvester? or have something else in mind?
I'd love to wear clogs on board, but I'm usually changing planes when flying South, and, as you pointed out, I don't want to have to run in those things. Wiping out in the concourse wouldn't be a pretty sight. I just wear the sneakers, and they're velcro closures so it's easy to take them off for Security and put them back on.

You’re going to be loving the music so much, it will take your mind off all those folks being strangers, and your being alone. Anyway, didn’t you say that you’d met some of those folks before? If so, they won’t be strangers, just friends you haven’t seen in a LONG time!
I admit, I’d be worrying about making such a trip too. This is not very hobbitish behavior. :~)
I wiped out in the concourse once, by tripping over my own shoes and landing on my behind. Nothing like looking like an idiot in front of total strangers.

Look at the bright side! You didn't know those folks and probably never saw them again. Another thing; you gave them a good story to tell folks when they arrived at their destinations, so you were a factor in brightening their day! Of course, when you're in a pile on the floor, that's the last thing going through your mind.;o)
Just don’t run out the door without your pocket handkerchief.

Back from church, gonna eat something since I haven’t really had much to eat today, and then I’ll run Cisco over in one trip and the fish in another if that makes sense!
