Like father like daughter? Bloated Lisa Marie is now the double of dad Elvis

Her father fought - and lost - a long and very public battle with the bulge.

Now Elvis Presley's daughter Lisa Marie appears to have developed a similarly unhealthy appetite.

The once-svelte 40-year-old was seen devouring her lunch at Hollywood food market The Grove at the weekend.

She looks like a freak. Pricilla was beautiful but as usual they do not accept the aging process.

Gotta be all those fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches!

Elvis Presley's Grilled Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich

2 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
1 small ripe banana mashed
2 tablespoons butter

DIRECTIONS:

Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and the mashed banana on the other. Press the slices gently together. Melt the butter (or to be truly Elvis-like, melt bacon fat!), over low heat in a small frying pan. Place the sandwich in the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides. Eat it with a glass of buttermilk.

Please note: Elvis tended to eat 12-15 sandwiches a sitting.

With her father, it was drug abuse on a grand scale that killed him. .....With her father, it was psychological problems that killed him.

Man, her mom looks great.

They both look like something out of Night of the Living Dead!

I think you nailed it more correctly than I. On that same TV show I mentioned, a former Elvis insider said it wasn't drugs that killed him, but an "addiction to fame."

I probably shouldn’t have said she is middle-aged. After all, I’m a bit older than she is, and I’m certainly not middle aged! :D

What I was trying to say is that the focus on women’s sizes in general is not really helpful to anyone. I think she looks just fine.

And yes, her kids are both really cute.

Actually, no, I am not. I think she looks great for a woman of 62.

Look, she is not 22 anymore, but she obviously takes somewhat care of herself.

That’s got to be how Elvis made it to the Promised Land so fast! Swing low chariot, come down easy!

Her looks are terrible for someone her age, and it isn't just over eating.

If she's pregnant, that could explain a lot.

With her father, it was drug abuse on a grand scale that killed him. Unfortunately, she also has a history of drug abuse, and I hope and pray she is not succumbing to the same demons.

I didn't know that (about her). I hope not, too. :(

Too phony - too much surgery!

What did yo think of Audrey Hepburn or Katherine Hepburn

Personally, they aged good (& natural)

When his mother died, he was 40. He never again reached the heights he could have attained. The drugs, overeating, lack of using his training (physical, etc.) just magnified. He depended on his momma. I’m certainly no Elvis fan (turn off the radio when I hear his music) but it IS a shame he didn’t go on to the age of Sinatra, Martin and others that he could have.

I saw Priscilla and Lisa Marie on some talk show recently and although the pics of Priscilla appear fine, she looked terrible on the show. Too much plastic surgery and it was obvious she couldn’t move her face at all. She barely resembled herself. She’s one of the stars on this season’s “Dancing with the Stars” so I’ll be anxious to see how she looks.

Poor Lisa. No matter where she goes, everybody wants to know about her dad, talk to her about her dad. It's ALWAYS about her dad. That's gotta be tough.

I think it would be interesting to see video of her — i.e. to see her face in motion. It looks good in still shots but I wonder if it moves like it should. BTW, you see a lot of older celebrity women with face work and it's almost always glaringly artificial. Hers on the other hand is quite convincing (at least in stills). I’m trying to figure out what’s different and I think it’s that she’s had a lot of filler inserted into her cheeks (either collagen or possibly her own fat from some other part of her body), so that they’ve got that youthful plumpness. You lose facial fat as you age; her surgeon seems to have been really aggressive in reversing that.

Ashley looks more like her mom (Naomi) than Wynonna does.
