Well this is good news for Red Sox fans. We would have had to give up too much to acquire him. But if the Yankees had gotten him, it would have been a major bummer as the Yankees would have been back in contention.
Since he's going to the Mets, I predict the Red Sox winning the AL East over the Yankees by 11 1/2 games this coming year.
