TG for Carrie Underwood.

No more Slingblades or Cokeheads on AI. Or gangstas like those twin brothers who were in jail.

I think the vetting process has improved.

I’m not sure how accurate this list is. It could be a long couple of nights.

http://americanidolamericanidol.blogspot.com/2008/03/spoler-rumored-songs-for-american-idol.html

Always take spoilers with a grain of salt, but according to internet rumors, these are the 16 songs that will be sung by the American Idol contestants this week:

“Everytime You Go Away”
“What About Love”
“Tainted Love”
“The Greatest Love of All”
“Father Figure”
“Open Arms”
“Rebel Yell”
“The Rose”
“Bette Davis Eyes”
“Celebration”
“Call Me”
“Always Something There to Remind Me”
“Whats Love Got to Do With It”
“Hurts So Good”
“We Built this City
“Every Breath you Take”

No word yet on who is singing which song, although Danny Noriega has been all-but-confirmed to be taking on “Tainted Love,” and David Archuleta is expected to sing “Open Arms.”

Yes, TG for Carrie.

Her skyrocket album sales and multiple awards prove that talent, coupled
with grace and class, are sure winners.

Can’t imagine Carrie being vulgar.

David Hernandez ... once worked as a stripper at Dick’s Cabaret [LOL!], appearing fully nude and performing lap dances for the club’s “mostly male” clientele, club manager Gordy Bryan said Monday.

Photobucket
RAYMOND!

Well this is a first. I don't think there's ever been a stripper on Idol before. Figures it would be a dude :-/

Looks like this is 80s week.

“Rebel Yell”

I have a bad feeling Amanda is going to try that one.

Well, on the plus side, maybe this will help cyphon enough of the gay vote away from Danjaya and we can finally get rid of that twit in the next vote.

I'm finally caught up on my TiVo as we were on vacation last week. I could see Archuletta sing a Journey tune as he is probably the only one with the chops to take on Steve Perry. Randy will be the ultimate critical authority on that one though. Didn't Clive Davis choose Open Arms for Elliot Yamin in 2006? Archuletta is very good but it's going to take a lot for me to get over his singing the worst song ever written last week. I f*%#ing HATE that song and am inclined to never vote for him for singing that athiestic/communistic anthem...but I digress...

Father Figure could be interesting...Call Me is not a singers song...neither is Hurt's So Good...Every Breath You Take is tough as Sting's voice is just so different. And whoever sings We Built This City should be kicked off on principle. Jefferson Starship should have been forced to disband after that sellout tripe...

Could be an interesting show but as a connoisseur of 80's music, there are no intriguing/compelling choices in this list.

Carrie and Brad Paisley are announcing the Academy of Country Music nominations this morning, on the CBS Early Show.

The announcement is from Nashville. Both Carrie and Paisley had to be there at 6am. Paisley seems a little groggy, lol, but Carrie is in good spirits.

Carrie is up for Top Female Vocalist.

The "Because of You" duet with Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson is nominated for Vocal Event of the Year

Brad Paisley is nominated for Top Male Vocalist, Entertainer of the Year and one or two other things.

Miranda Lambert also got a lot of nominations.

I don't know if Carrie's most recent album "Carnival Ride" is eligible for this years' ACM, otherwise I would've expected her to receive more nominations.

Rodney Atkins and Miranda Lambert both perform live during the last half hour of the Early Show.

I really like Miranda Lambert. She would have won a ton of awards, but her album was always nominated with Carrie’s.

Hmmm...interesting. I’m going to guess Amanda “Bette Davis Eyes” or “What About Love.”

On a side note, there are some major banning violations on this list. Whoever sings:

The Greatest Love of All
The Rose
We Built This City

All need to be automatically eliminated on the spot. I know We Built This City isn’t technically a violation, but I really loathe that song.

Mmm ... Brad Paisley ~ another class act.

Have seen him twice in concert ~ Sun Devil Stadium in Arizona and Humphrey’s in San Diego. Tireless, generous performer.

Hubby isn’t a big fan of country music, but he likes Paisley’s “Me, Neither.”

I meant to ask you before if you have heard the album and what you thought of it?

Well, I did get a slight reading on my GaydarTM, but the reading was below Cody and well below Danjaya. Perhaps my GaydarTM needs a tune up, but I'm too scared to find where to get it serviced. :-o
