Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

I think I put 3 of Brownells kids thru college with the tools I have here..........:o)
Now to have the good sense to learn how to use em properly !
My retirement gift to myself is a trip to Colorado School of Trades Gunsmithing School . My saving grace is that if I do NOT know what I am doing I STOP and go get help !
Hammer Monkeys are a dime a dozen and I want skills and abilities with the precision of a swiss watch maker for my projects ........
Fortunately for me, I've had OJT by fixing other people's laptop PCs. The stuff is small, delicate, and cramped. It's also packed with surprises (hidden screws, balky plastic tabs, and zero documentation). Sort of like EOD, except that a mistake causes the client to blow up, instead.
All it takes is patience, drawing sketches if necessary, keeping track of all the parts, and confidence in knowing that Brownell's can overnight parts to you if necessary.
ROTFL! Little ingrate; doesn't know how good he has it! ;o)
Reckon it was a wild critter who was thinking that this bright yellow thing was food?
That’s a series looking weapon!
The red carpet part is the only part worth watching these days! Have a safe trip.
Yeah, and we’re pretty sick of it! The temps are slowly rising each week, though, so I’m hoping we won’t have any really large snows later in the spring. One year, though, on the Monday after Easter, which was in April that year, we got 21” of snow over a 36 hour period. Thankfully, that’s when we had two middle school sons with strong backs to help dispense with it. Right now, we don’t even have the snow thrower, because we’d given it to our #1 son to us for his condo in Somerville. But since we really only use the mini-van, we only have to clear half the driveway, and the sidewalk at the front door, so SirKit and Joseph can handle that. The town doesn’t bother us about cleaning off the sidewalks next to the street because the kids can just walk on the street to get to the bus, and it’s safe, because we’re on a cul-de-sac.
So where, in the North, are you going?
My bay laurel is putting out new growth. It’s alive! It’s alive!
As opposed to non-series? It would be just as serious (but a lot more expensive) with exhibition-grade walnut and gold-inlaid engraving.
Here's someone's effort to make things less series and intimidating, the bARbie-15:

Hint: it's just as deadly as the all-black version, but you might save on ammo because the bad guy may die laughing before you can cap him.
MIchigan. Brrr...
OMG. I’m embarrassed to say... I like it!
Oh I do all my own work .......took on the kitchen table effort of converting a few old enfields to 7.62x54R. Set back the barrel a few thousandths , re cut the chamber, 11 degree crown was cut etc ....turned out to be one of the best projects I ever took on. Great little rifle to use with plentiful and cheap surplus ammo.
I re-potted mine on the last 72 degree day we had. It was terribly rootbound, so I shook all the old dirt off, snipped the roots some and put it in a new pot. I think I killed it. LSA
I had mine in a pot all summer in a partially shaded spot - the last one I had out in full sun and it got fried! Anyway, it just sat there all that time not showing much growth since I got it so I’m pretty excited! I’m down to one spindly looking ginger plant but when I went to loosen the soil on the top, there’s a big ol’ root down there. Kewl!
Brrrr, indeed! Have a safe trip!
Love it!
Cool! I like the “Future Homeschooler” togs!
Don't say you weren't warned.
Evening - the thing I really liked about the CD I got for my Sig was it showed the armorer reassembling the pistol.
For years I used the NRA gunsmith books which invariably ended with ‘assemble in reverse order’. Generally it twernt quite that easy for me. But I haven’t taken anything in the gunshop in a cigar box, well, yet, anyway.
