I was disappointed this year. Only one out of the fifty odd actually managed to come up with a trick.

Not here. There are too many old folks who are afraid to open their doors after dark.

There has been a rash of assaults on the elderly, recently, so most of the neighborhoods advocate the “buddy system.”

Most places that offer treats leave the porchlights on, and hang a paper pumpkin on their doors.
