It’s Saturday morning here! Our last day inb Japan. Yesterday we went down to Himeji to tour Himeji Castle, which is a really spectacular example of a Japanese hill castle. It was gorgeous. Talon took lots of pics so we will get some up soon.
Thursday we went to an immense temple compound here in Kyoto. Today is mostly for shopping.
I’m going to get home and realize it’s almost nano, aren’t I?

Was it you who were looking for information about scooters the other day? I talked to my brother today, and he said that the scooter my nephew has is a Honda ‘Metropolitan’.
Even our little community newspaper had an article about NaNoWriMo today!
*snort*. It’s a very good thing that I’m not prone to cursing or obscene hand gestures, or I’d be a VEY bad example to my kids when I’m driving them anywhere.

It’s picked up a lot of steam in the past five years or so!
I’m doing more planning and organizing tonight. About a week ago I decided to start putting some names on index cards, to make it easier to find one when I need one — i.e. make a card with men’s names beginning with “b”, in no particular order. I ended up going way overboard with that project, and I’m continuing it tonight by making cards with lists of synonyms for words I use a lot: colors, for example.
I also have some cards with little character sketches for background characters, like the sort of people my more important characters might see on the street or at the grocery store.
Will I use any of this? I dunno. But at least it helps pass the time until November 1st!

Tomorrow, clean stalls. I also need to run to town for a couple of errands - grocery shopping and such. Other than that, just putter around here, there’s a couple of little project that I have in mind. Probably take a nap too... it’s been a long week.
Yeah - the gaited horses are a lot different huh! And it looks like their feet are moving really fast, but it’s much smoother than a trotting horse. :~)
Since you have this Betta now, do you want my fish tank?

Well, hopefully it will be a short weekend and then I’ll see you Monday! I guess we won’t be so nervous this time, meeting me at the airport.
