Actually, after a couple aspirin and some dinner (ramen noodles), it’s feeling a whole lot better now.

Monday evening.
I don't wanna go to work.
...For one thing, as I was walking out the door last night I admitted I write in my spare time. It came up in the conversation in a way that I couldn't back out of it. My boss thinks books (except reference books) are kind of a waste of time and take too long to read, so I can just *imagine* the sort of ribbing I'm going to get for writing. Especially since it's just for my own amusement and has no point. Everything must have a point, don't ya know. < /s> It's like the people who don't understand why any adult would play a musical instrument when they aren't making a living by doing so. And yes, such people exist.
On the other hand, I has a neat little fish to watch. And we have a lunch meeting and therefore will likely get a free lunch. So there's that.
I've all but written them off.
And that's a good thing... because I'm tracking down all the people who were committed to work on BIG-PROJECT only to find out it hasn't made it onto anyone's calendar. I've worked with their supervisors, their team leaders, and the bench grunts themselves coordinating everything. Now that I've scheduled a big meeting next week for BIG-PROJECT I'm getting all sorts of panicked responses saying, "Woah, we didn't agree to do that!" I guess I just don't understand why adults need more reminders than children to do things. I just want to scream, "TAKE OUT A PENCIL AND WRITE DOWN THIS HOMEWORK!!!"
