Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

One of the two feral kittens I've been feeding. Been luring them closer to me with tuna, trying to get them where I can catch them eventually.

What color is it?
There has been a big black cat lurking in our back yard for the last couple of weeks. I'll see him stalking through the grass and tall weeds. He's looking for chipmunks and field mice, I guess. I'm assuming he's feral because he's a long haired cat, but it's kinda wild and crazy, like he doesn't spend a lot of time and effort on grooming.

Gotta love the guy who puts a smiley face on the business end of his rifle!If you notice, the smiley is right-side-up when the lens cap is open. But maybe he has another smiley on the inside of the lens cap to help brighten the day of the guy downrange.

An odd comment to wake up to, but I do agree.
Yawn... Tuesday huh? Yay. Today we should be ripping out the old countertop. We bought a beautiful new sink and faucets and garbage disposal. last night - black sink - and got on the same page about cabinets and the kitchen floor. And my dishwasher is in a hole in the cabinets. Someday soon it will be hooked up and run.

Busy morning so far. Have to cram a days’ worth of work into the morning so I can go sit in a bored meeting all afternoon.

Fun fun.
We get an 8 am “future of the company” conference call tomorrow. See, HR and HQ are in Maryland so for them it’s a more reasonable 9. But they kind of ignore us and forget that we’re in a different timezone... and all just nice happy engineer types, not HR or line workers who all get to work on time.
They’re also really messing us up on hiring new people... sigh... HR people don’t seem to understand that engineers, unlike HR grads, usually have jobs lined up well before they graduate and that if we want someone who is graduating in May we need to make an offer now...
