Yeah, you got your horse shoes problem fixed!I think so :~)
I think Cyn is flaring now though, more than she did when Mark was trimming her. Not real sure, I was going to take some new pics to show you and compare to the old, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Certainly, and welcome and good morning!
Do you have horses? :~)

Rattlesnakes and gators...100 degree heat with 95% humidity...ticks...mosquitoes big enough to drain you dry...you gotta wonder why people ever decided to settle some places in the deep South! ;o)

Well, that's why most of the South didn't amount to much until the invention of air conditioning!
(I'm dead serious. There was an article in American Heritage magazine that proposed that theory!)
When my father was young (he grew up in Rome, GA, which is in the foothills of the mountains and quite bearable compared to down here on the GA coast) the entire town cleared out in the summer and went to the mountains. His family had a cottage in Monteagle TN and they just stayed there until fall.
No wonder nothing got done!

Good Morning.
We had quite a few thunderstorms yesterday and last night. The rain was sorely needed. Very hot and humid though.
To: MissTargets
Cool but humid here... I can’t believe I’m actually worried about getting hay for fear of rain... in August.

Pictures would be good. You've probably already seen this, but check out this link
here. It's from the website of barefoot trimmer named Gwen who posts over on the Horse.com forum. It'll show you how to take pictures and mark up a photo to help you evaluate whether Cyn's foot is in balance or not. I find Gwen's stuff to be very helpful. Her main web page is

...that's why most of the South didn't amount to much until the invention of air conditioning!... Hey, I've always thought that! I'd always heard of people moving to the mountains for the summer. I think their reasoning at the time was to get away from the "bad air" that brought on the Malaria. Back then they didn't know that the mosquitoes were what was carrying it.

They were doing the right thing, their reasoning was just not quite right.
Classic example which you may enjoy reading (I'm a big Kipling fan, and this is from what I think may be his very best book, Rewards and Fairies): A Doctor of Medicine.

Gators and rattlesnakes? Sounds like not a good place for people, nevermind dogs!

I’m not sure I’m allowed to link AOL, but go look what they have up from you tube from the battle of kruger , if you haven’t seen it already. Some animals are just born to be free.
To: CindyDawg
Go ahead and link it... I don’t know exactly what you’re referring to :~)

What’s it about... I’m really quite lost... if it’s gory, I may not want to watch either!
To: HairOfTheDog
Well, I can't see it because my server blocks me, but here's the synopsis...
A pride of lions attacks a young buffalo. While working to take down their prey, an alligator attempts to wrestle the kill away from the lions -- a tug of war ensues. And just when that ends, the herd of buffalo return to rescue their own...
Sounds pretty interesting. I'm assuming the buffalo walks away, at least for a while.

Sounds like a lot of drama. I never know who to root for in those things...

I cant believe Im actually worried about getting hay for fear of rain... in AugustWell I was supposed to get hay Monday but it got rained on Monday night so he was not going to squarebale it, instead he round baled it for cattle. It has not rained in over a week and it picked that one night to rain, just my luck!
To: HairOfTheDog
Oh, and just to be completely off subject, I took this pic out my front door last night. As you can see, I live right next to a high school football stadium. School is getting ready to start and football practice has started already, excpt it's too hot to practice in the afternoons so the turn on the lights and do it at night. I've always kind of enjoyed it. It's like having your own private football game...

It is a little gory. If I tell you though, I spoil the ending. Guess you will never know:’)
