Disney doesn’t want to offend their base.

Disney's been a gay shop for at least 40 years.
David Ehrenstein ("gay PC terrorist" himself -- his own tagline) wrote a history of the Velvet Underground. He told me online one time that the illustrators at Disney back in the day were all gay (why all gay, unless they formed a little cartel and railroaded the straight guys out of the store?), and the managers realized it and were careful not to offend them. Over time that made Disney a "gay-friendly" shop. Presumably it's a closed shop now.
But that is what is behind all of Disney's gay-catering.

Is there a “They’re all from Hollyweird and I don’t care” choice? That’s how I feel. Isaiah Washington didn’t open his mouth out of principle. And when he opened it, he then kowtowed to try to regain favor. pfffttt!

But that is what is behind all of Disney's gay-catering.That and the fact that Walt was a serial pedophile.

I never heard that accusation before. Where can I see it documented?
To: lentulusgracchus
After I posted it, I thought the same thing. The evidence on the net is sketchy and vague, but a recurring theme of tolerance of pedophilia at the highest level of the corporation comes through.
It's like the J. Edgar Hoover allegations of cross-dressing and homosexuality. Everyone seems to have heard it from someone who saw it happen, but won't come forward.
I heard it in the 60's from a college friend whose father worked at Disneyland. He related a story that Walt had an apartment at the Park where he took "special boys." Money changed hands of course, but everything was kept quiet.
All I know is what I heard, and there is very little to back it up.
