The end of the runway is less than a mile away and the approach runs right in front of the tiny window in the office.

Great!

I got a front-row seat for the Blue Angels once. I was working for NASA on Moffett Field (CA), and took the Friday afternoon (before the airshow) off from work and walked over to the airstrip to watch them practice.

I loved living in the apratment in Vegas because it was on the flight path for the base. We not only got to listen to the sound of freedom on a daily basis, but we even got to watch the Thunderbirds practice!

I miss that!

(I DON’T miss the crime!)
