Last year, my buddy and I brought 300 dollars worth of bottle rockets and firecrackers.
We had tried to put three in the air at once, it sounded like Katushka Rocket barriage on Berlin.

Only three? Our family has a display that (so far) is quite unique--we fill a bucket (started with a 5-gallon and it has grown over the years) with bottle rockets--several hundred, so they all stand up on end. We then stick in one of those over-sized sparklers, light it, and run.

The display requires about an acre or so of open space.
