This is a copy of the e-mail I just sent to President Bush. Let's keep his feet to the fire on this issue.
Dear President Bush:
Now that your immigration bill has gone down to well-deserved defeat, you can still reclaim part of the affection and respect that conservatives once had for you. Enforce the current laws vigorously.
The American people have spoken, and in no divided voice. Left and Right opposed this bill, and only professional politicians and the business community, and of course the illegal alien community which should not have a voice in this debate at all, were for this monstrosity.
Do America, the Republican Party, the conservative cause, and yourself a favor and ENFORCE THE LAW! NOW!
