I had no idea that the author of "Case Closed" was asking for the case to be "reopened"

Why wouldn't he? If he believes the evidence will support his hypothesis, why not bring all the evidence to light? Silence just breeds rumors.

Evidence that the CIA was involved will hardly support a 'case closed' lone gunman theory.

That is only relevant if such evidence exists.

There's "involved" and "involved." The CIA may have had some dealings with Oswald. There is no way he got out of Russia so easily after getting in unless SOMEONE (CIA/KGB) thought he was a double agent. But it defies logic to think that the CIA couldn't kill Castro, one of the most public figures in the world, despite repeated attempts, but could pull off an incredible murder of JFK that left no bullet casings, no additional sound signatures, produced only three wounds, and had a guy perfectly in the right place to have fired all the shots.

The alternative, of course, is that in fact Oswald acted alone.
