Hey, it's all good. I was just bustin' your chops. Where I grew up, Kiss was for the same type of guy/gal . . . who wanted to take a safe trip over to the dark side.
Sal's one of the newer cast members of the Stern show. His main schticks are annoying Gary Dell'Abate and doing homosexual stunts with Richard Christie, another newer cast member (who won the "Win Stuttering John's Job" contest.
No worries, HG. Looking back on the music scene of the 70s, it all seems so quaint and innocent, you know? Back then, I remember all the normals insisting that Kiss stood for Kings In Satanic Service, and the rumor was that Gene kept elongating his tongue by somehow surgically adding to it everytime a family member of his died. Oh, and Alice Cooper (my all time fave) was just as bad.
A safe walk on the 'dark' side was exactly what it was -- especially with the 12" Action (Don't call them Dolls!) Figures.
Reading the Wiki link you sent got me laughing. The one eyed man stunt sounds particularly goofy. I think I was confusing Sal with Crazy Cabbie.
