I’m convinced, Molly, that liberals have differently wired brains. I’ve been boycotting female novelists lately and some males as well....simply can’t take anymore PC and insertions of casual and graphic “love” scenes (aka sex romps) and the same tired subjects that enthrall them....but not me.
I wish I could remember the name of a wonderful Italian novelist...read her works 20 years ago...will look her up in my records, and get back to you. You'd like, I think....
I’ve been reading the biography of Martha Gellhorn, who was a writer and war correspondent during WWII and before, actually. She was in Spain during their war with Ernest Hemmingway, who she later married.
The point is she was a very angry lib throughout her life. She admitted it was her anger that kept her going. But she did not have time for the appeasement of the English and French before WWII. She traveled a lot and has written about her travel experiences. She was very feisty and fearless. The book is very interesting.
