Haven't even played one on television.:)
"whats disturbing to me is that the Harry Belafontes of the world can call Condi Rice anything they want (slave mistress, etc.) and no one decides that they will never hire Harry again. People (democrats) can say pretty much any ugly thing they want and they seem protected. Its the hypocrisy that gets me, that and having the race baiters of the country claim some kind of moral authority."
....and all of that is disturbing to me as well. It's all bad; it's all wrong.
But excusing the I-Man wouldn't make any of it right.
JMHO.
I’m sorry, Mozzie. I’ve taken out my contacts for the night and can’t see the screen terribly well. LOL
I have no problems that Imus was fired. None. It was unconscionable what he said. But the standard should be fairly applied and it’s not.
I just found this:
Again, the simple test here is the following: If a conservative had used these expressions, would it have been denounced by liberals? The answer, obviously, is yes. Imagine if George Will had called Colin Powell a “house slave.” Imagine if Pat Buchanan had called Barney Frank a “nasty faggot.” Imagine if Trent Lott had called Hillary Clinton a whore. Do you think they’d be invited on “Larry King Live” to further elaborate on their comments?

Liberals have said all those things about Republicans and not one of them have been fired. In fact, the press barely mentioned those ugly statements.
