I meant poem, not pile. Of course.

“There is only a constant present.”

A continuum of present events.

Where fx=$(I’ll use a $ cuz I don’t have an integral sign on my keyboard) from a to b of dx (derivative value) of the sums, sigma (@) of all present moments (M)

So:

fx=$a-b/dx@(M)

I hate not having mathematical characters on my keyboard.....

NOW: Who’s gonna prove me wrong?

Time is currently one of the few fundamental quantities. These are quantities which cannot be defined via other quantities because there is nothing more fundamental than what is presently known. Thus, similar to definitions of other fundamental quantities (like space and mass), only the units of time measurement are defined in science, not time itself.

Science defines it relatively. It seems beyond ontological definition and hence subject to philosophical speculation. This is one area where the rug could easily be pulled out from what we consider to be objective reality. Objective reality is often defined from the perspective of the observer rather than an outside source. And there are many observers! No, I did not, and cannot, definitively answer your question, but it is a good one passed up by too many people who are otherwise into meese and cheesae.

Time is needed so everything doesn’t happen all at once. (I think Einstein said something like that)

True, but they don’t like it when you carve your initials into their sides with the sharpened end of an Interspace toothbrush.

Time - the continuum of experience in which events pass from the future through the present to the past.
