Congress would have had no way of knowing this. But after this little test drive happens, it would be helpful to let them know how expensive it really was.

You and your associates in the IT business obviously anticipated it. I urge you to write up an invoice and submit it to your congress critters. Work it right and you can get it into the cybermedia.

Oh we have no choice but to write it up, but for budget and planning reasons. Not to mention Sarbanes Oxley. It's up to the company president whether he wants to take it up with Congress.

Follow up, don-o

Our system updated fine. It's still a manual process as each person has to make sure his pc is patched fully and has to run the update tool.

However, a local credit union told customers that their system wasn't working and they are taking transactions by paper.

I don't know how widespread this is but all it takes is one of these where someone has an urgent situation.
