It's very interesting. I like the way they use real science and mathematical analysis to show that Al Gore has it exactly backwards.
The oceans, it is well known, are sinks for carbon dioxide. What would happen if you heated them?
They would release carbon dioxide. Which they have been doing. That is why the CO2 levels have been rising.
CO2 peaks follow temperature peaks by about eight hundred years.

I'd guess he's somewhere in Switzerland, trundling another wheelbarrow load of gold out of the vaults.

"So what was happening 800 years ago, and what happened after that?"The Medieval Warming Period lasted from 1330 AD to 1600 AD.
1330 + 800 = 2130
I don't think this brief warming period was the cause of the oceans releasing carbon dioxide today, but it could be a minor factor, and it happened about eight hundred years ago.
After that it got cold again. Really cold, actually.

"It's 100 degrees in Switzerland?" Gold is heavy. He's sweating. I'd offer to help, but I doubt he would trust me.

Hardly ever. When I was in the insurance business, we used to get free calendars from the Swiss Reinsurance Company, and all the pictures except July and August were of deep, deep snow.
They were sought-after calendars - in a Texas September, the snow picture would make you feel a little less hot.

Ya, but now we have global warming, global cooling, climate change or something, now.

The last Thames frost fair was around 1818, iirc. Can you imagine being that cold all the time? Eeek!
Of course, some people are Canadian, but still ...

Yes, either warming or cooling or both. I'll bet Daylight Savings Time causes it!

Thanks for that other post.
The ocean temps 800 years ago would just tell us what the climate was like 800 years before that.
