"The climate of bias and dishonesty has become so fundamentally ingrained I have long since quit trusting them with anything." Decades ago, the Soviet State had a press organ called Pravda, Russian for "Truth."
It was anything but. Any time the government wanted to put forth a story which was nothing more than a tissue of lies, they turned to Pravda to give it substance.
We do things differently here.
On this side of the pond, the newspapers put the deceitful lies into the mouths of the politicians.

I weigh on the Weight Watcher Scales! At weekly meetings. I've been on a foodaholic binge!
I'll get it together shortly.
I lost 25 lbs but hit a snag and haven't quite got back yet to reality!

Rottn's 2 rules for pruning a tree:
sionnsar's One Rule: Cut it off as low to the roots as possible.
That's what my wife thinks of my pruning job. Every year she sits there and shakes her head, swearing that I've killed the tree...I take off everything half inch or less. Oh BTW, I now have a 3rd rule: If it's less than half inch, cutting it off is a cinch.
Every year the canopy gets bigger and more beautiful. You'd think she would learn by now (I thing that's a woman thing).
*ducking*

The sun was shining brightly and beautifully this morning.
Fortunately, I was able to roll over and ignore it.

It's beautiful here, too, but cold. The A-Team has gone running. I'm going to make fruit salad.

Winter comes and goes. It ebbs and flows.
I wrote a poem about it, but it was shorter than it needed to be. I guess I'll have to spend more energy on another poem.
Or maybe I'll write a chapter or two ...
Most likely I'll just read. *Yawn*

Nice poem.
I should stop sitting around here and make the fruit salad now.
Have a good nap!

I really like Stagg Chili, but they only sell it in large cans at Sam's Club. The grocery store where I shop wants too much money for the small cans.Me too, but I bought some at Costco,...they called it "Private Reserve", and it was no where near as good as the kind I get at the regular grocery stores, like chunkaroo, and the silverado.
Much to my husbands frustration, I have it for lunch once or twice a week in the winter.

I didn't take a nap. I watched the movie about the so-called "Global Warming" Scam and scandal.
U-tube doesn't work for me. I never get the audio. So I had been putting it off. This link worked okay, though ...

I knew Al Gore and his "Convenient Untruth" were wrong about the carbon dioxide, but I found the information about solar activity to be instructive.

I ran 4.5 miles and then took a shower. (No moose, though.)
In half an hour, I'm going to take dinner (including the eponymous fruit salad) to one of our church ladies who can't get up until her baby is born, and then I'll go to Mass.
When I get home, there should be Cuban black bean soup and stuffed yuca fritters (a Bill Production). If it's a disaster, someone will call and ask me to bring home pizza :-).

I'm glad that movie was made.
They use *gasp* pretty good science.
