My parents used to have little plastic tridents to spear shrimp for shrimp cocktail.
We never have parties with shrimp cocktail; obviously there been a socioeconomic shift over the generations :-).

I'd say there's considerable difference between a cocktail fork and a pitchfork.
I actually don't drink any of these things. An occasional beer for me.
I did invent a rum drink a few years ago. I keep running out of soda mixer though.
