Virgie Arthur's attorney speaking now - he is very Southern talking - slow. Says she is having a tough time. But she is adament (sp?).

My client was a sheriff's deputy with Harris Co. Sheriff's office for 28 years before she retired. Every family is different - but the stories that are coming out - are that Mr. Stern drove a wedge between my client and her daughter.

The problem is - FL law is very clear. Comprehensive cemetery statute - that has everything to do with things from casket sales to funeral services. It refers to legally authorized person - similar to what happens if somebody dies without a will. First thing to look at - did person leave written advice as to what to do with her body. He says - that's not there. The next person you look to is the spouse. She doesn't have a spouse. The next person is a child over 18. That doesnt' apply. The next person is the mother. Anna Nicole has a living mother and father - they are both here. She has 3 siblings - they are all living and they are next in line.

Law is very clear - if there is no family in place - then a guardian or a family friend.

What about if Anna intended to be buried in Bahamas. Attorney is saying Anna did not buy them - Howard Stern bought them....Mr. Stern's lawyer filed it in court.

Nothing shows ANS had ownership in Bahamas burial plot.
