No they didn't go too far; They Didn't go FAR ENOUGH!
There was some talk show thing and the concept of "24" came to be even before 9/11!
I truly believe that this will be a reality in some American city before another 10 years passes.
Don't know if this merits a ping to your list, oxen :)
There were many movies out during WWII killing nazis and germans. Hollywood glorified it.
They only went too far for the morons that think everything is "Sunshine and lolli-pops"...
I think it would take something like this to get people to finally pull their heads out of their butts and figure out "hey there are people that really hate the USA"...
For people who relish Life & Freedom, the answer is quite succinctly, "NO WAY".
I felt like 24 went to far when they did those ridiculous disclaimers before the show a couple of seasons ago with Keifer S and his little PSA that just because some of the characters were muslim terrorists we should keep in mind that there are lots of nice peaceful muslims.
Biting out that guys jugular vein was over the top.
Jack Bauer and Simon Cowell need sensitivity training!
It's a TV show. Though, My Mother the Car went to far.
I'm so mad, I forgot to watch it last night.
If we leave Iraq with tail between legs, they will follow us home. And they'll be armed...
"Did "24" Go Too Far?"

Tonite. 9 PM. If the left hates it, it must be good.
If the fellow countrymen of the terrorists hate it, it must be good.
Nobody bother me tonite after 9...
The writer went too far. LA the "most productive part of our economy"? Don't make me laugh.
My family and I are loyal viewers of "24," one of the two best shows on TV (tied with "The Office.")
But I do think the nuclear explosion went too far. Some things are better feared, than experienced, even vicariously.
Daniel Pipes usefully estimates the Islamofascist contingent at 10-15% of Muslims. That's at least 120,000,000 who would cheer.
So, according to this piece, Los Angeles is the most productive part of the U.S. economy.
