You can ignore everyone else. TR nailed it. I've had two Black Labs and we currently have one Lab and a Basset Hound. This advice works well for any breed. We'll have more labs in the future, I'm sure. They're the best. :)
I was insane enough to try to raise 2 lab puppies at the same time.
Made the first mistake in the book...have tried not to make any others.
My girls are 3 now and are wonderful dogs.
