Yup. A couple years back I was helping a neighbor put on a new roof. When we started, we were both drinking literally gallons of ice tea.

I had to add in some gatorade because I was getting dehydrated. Weird that you can get that way, but if you flush out alot of electrolytes, your body will try to keep the right balance. You end up whizzing like a racehorse and get dehydrated from it.

Couple weeks ago I had the flu... - bad. Three days in bed, chicken soup, hot tea with lemon, gallons of water.

Had to up my salt intake because I was taking in so many fluids.

Flu finally broke, in the span of about 3 hours my temperature plunged like 4.5 degrees.

I drink at least a gallon of filtered water a day. More in the summer. My doctor always said this is good.

Yep. Hyponatremia - overdiluting the saline in your system. Or something like that. It occasionally happens to ecstasy users who way overcompensate for their dancing/other activity by drinking far too much water.

Wow. Water intoxication. I wouldn't have imagined such a thing was possible.

I remember many, many years ago, back when I was a teen discovering Paul Harvey's report, I heard him talk about a woman who drank water for hours at a time to cleanse cancer from her body, or something. There was in recent years a hazing death at Chico State University (which was once named America's best party school by Playboy magazine) from water intoxication.

The mental hospitals are full of these types. Seems they are able to get a high from it.

Yup. A couple years back I was helping a neighbor put on a new roof. When we started, we were both drinking literally gallons of ice tea.

I worked outdoors for years in Arizona in the summers. It was required to start pounding down liquids BEFORE I got thirsty. I would drink GALLONS of water during the day without needing to urinate.

It's hot in Arizona.

Not the same thing in Northern California in the winter.

So sad, very sad. I can't believe that the radio station came up with this idea.

As much as we need water, the saying never rang more true "don't overdo too much of a good thing".

that is good and healthy and I try and do the same. But to drink lots and lots, overconsumption can hurt you.

I think part of the liberal agenda is to condition the sheeple to stupidity. The reductio ad absurdum (That's Latin for "I'll say something so stupid and compare your argument to it, that they will look like an idiot") doesn't work with them.

I'll say, what are you going to do next? Ban water?

Answer: Yes. Ban water.
