I am suspecting that it isn't all that rare. It isn't serious but the body identifies the suture fragment as being a foreign body, it sends the defense mechanisms against it, forms a cyst and expells the particle outward through the skin. It is much like a splinter which is too deep to remove and has to fester.
I'm praying for your complete recovery.

Actually, Mr. Chairman, he was "hanged". Only animals and inanimate objects are "hung".
On second thought, never mind, you were right!

It developed about two weeks after the operation and took about 7 to 10 days to heal. I think my sutures my have been deeper than yours; I don't know.

..of course, with Christmas shopping/company/and camping....I've hardly had a chance to rest it....
...maybe I can now.

No, it didn't leave a scar. I think. The incision scar is about two inches long so this other was part of that scar itself. Your time table sounds about right to me. Perhaps a little on the long side but these are different body parts. Ears get rougher treatment than tummies.

GEE, I'm glad I'm well done, while you 2 are rare, I'm allergic to only the vacuum cleaner.
Roomey just told me there was some confusion this AM shortly after the transfer of saddam to the Iraqi security forces. When the coalition forces expressed concern of his whereabouts, the Iraqi counterpart said "don't worry, he's hanging around here someplace". lol.

So glad you had a wonderful birthday, Two Thirds. And today is the first day I've felt well in a week and a half so I got busy organizing and getting ready for the New Year.
I wish you good health and a prosperous year ahead, Two Thirds.

Above the knee, that would be a mess, especially if you wear shorts.
Miss M, when you're thru with your closets, etc, you can do mine. They are never organized.

Hello
I made 3 valances to hang over the corner sink in the kitchen and a pair of curtains for the bathroom today.
And I've just finished stirring up the Knox Blox for the kiddos at tomorrow's Christmas gathering.
The rest of the food will be done in the morning.
