Well, that defense held Gore pretty much in check for more than the first two quarters. SF had to pull out some trick plays to get in a position to win tonight. If they had continued to play conservative ball, they would have lost. Norv Turner pulled out the stops midway into the third and took some chances. Seattle apparently didn't expect SF to change their play and were not prepared for that. They are still the team to beat in their division.
