Work at Home ?

Posted on 10/10/2006 1:47:50 AM PDT by hsmomx3

Anyone ever hear of this company:

http://www.freedomathometeam.com/swhite

They sell dental plans, etc. and you work from home.

I was just curious to know your opinions or if you had any knowledge about them as they have called me for an interview.

Thanking you in advance.

I did as I wanted to see what they are about. But in the back of my mind is the thought about paying any fees and I believe there is a $50 monthly brokers fee.

That is the sticking point for me.

My wife and I are looking for a home based business. I saw this post and thought, hey! I wish you all the best with your business.

Is the home based business phenomena real or is it just a myth?

There's a "monthly brokers fee?"

OPINION: I wouldn't take the job.

You may want to call Clark Howard and/or check with the Better Business Bureau.

A quick Google and Yahoo search indicates that it is a "Multi-Level Marketing" operation (Pyramid Scheme) and some participants have cursed it (obviously not successful) and others have praised it (obviously either successful or company shills).

I smell a ripoff.

If there is a broker or recruiter fee it should be paid by the employer and never the employee.

Don't know anything about this particular outfit but,IMO,most "work at home" offers are scams.

They are listed with the BBB. In one state they don't look so good but in another they look okay.

If it's work at home, it's probably bogus. And if there is an up-front fee of any kind, it is definitely bogus. Simple rule: you never have to pay anything to get a legitimate job -- even when you do so through an employment agency; the fees are paid by the employers. 'nough said.
