Does Clinton do Linux?
Guardian ^ | September 28 2006 | Bobbie Johnson

When Bill Clinton made his speech to the Labour Party conference, he bamboozled a few by finishing with the word "Ubuntu".

GE said: "No it can't, free versions of BSD don't have IBM adding in multiprocessing capability"

Which you couldn't prove is incorrect. Nor is the BSD system you found outside the U.S. All the communists use Linux, the U.N. operating system you support like your life depended on it. Even when Clinton's name gets tagged on there, here you are, shilling for all you got.

All he does is fund Ubuntu.

ROFL! Is this not hilarious? I'm not replying to the guy on fire, just drawing attention to how desperate these people are.

No, but to be brutally honest, you are.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: projection is a funny thing...

the Russia connection

LOL what Russia connection? The one you fabricated, claiming a Russian wrote the first UNIX, when it looks like he was only a team member, and actually an American? THAT Russian connection LMAO?

Which you couldn't prove is incorrect.: Hate to break it but 300 CPU's prove it scales pretty damn well and they were limited by hardware budget not technology..

Nor is the BSD system you found outside the U.S.: My question was is it the license/technology or how foreigners are using it that determines why BSD is ok and Linux is not. You just answered that it has nothing to do with the license or the technology but only what foreign nations do. Therefore if China, Iran, or anyone else starts to build BSD supercomputers you will object to the BSD license as well.

Dude, for literally the fifteenth time now:

A Russian-American named Victor Vyssotsky (sp?) was on the key programming team that first developed Unix.

That is the only Russian connection to Unix, and evenso it's indirect.

Yet you wave it around like it's a bloody shirt...

No, let's get down to brass tacks for a minute.

I. We all know your bosses at MS are tightening the chains. So you come here on these threads to shill and fanboi MS. As if they need paid shills given their Borg-like marketing department.

Look, if you want to bash Linux, post your own threads and do it with other FReepers who feel the same way.

II. Directly related is that it's not just bad form to barge onto threads dealing with something you hate and deliberately bloviate just for the sake of it--it's childish and whiny.

And finally, with all due respect sir, I believe you're the one who's been whining and backstepping the whole time...

You know the answer, quit playing games. In the case of Linux, it is not only foreign in origin, it more used by foreigners. BOTH, DUH.

I'm not totally xenophobic, I don't want to fight anyone, ever. I appreciate and greatly respect foreign cultures, from all over the world. I just don't want to give our goodies away, for nothing. Seems simple enough. Actually it is simple. Very simple. No one at the top, stays at the top, by giving everything away. Only a liberal would even have that thought, much less believe it.

What do you expect, he casts a dye and stirs the pot, never lingering on one topic too long, that would mean a conversation and why do that when you can clip one out of a dozen lines in what someone says to start a whole new line ignoring factual inadequacies like 'bsd does not scale'

So its not the GPL license or the fact its distributing UNIX technology. BSD has a license that gives away even more UNIX, more rights to the people taking it. It also is not the quality of the UNIX technology as BSD does scale / cluster and can be used for supercomputers. Your only problems are:

While Linux works in the US he was not born here and that Linux is being used in the foreign nations.

What's the point of his constant posting? Nobody takes him seriously. It's all bullshit.

At some point, even his handlers have to understand that.

I've tried to set him straight...

In actuality all you've done is post repeatedly that you don't care if the products you purchase and use come from the US or not, you will always chose your favorite product, and never choose an American product by choice, unless all other possibly conceivable things are equal, in other words being your absolute lowest measurable priority. Yep, we got what you're about. As far as setting me straight, LMAO.

Actually I don't care what you're mumbling about. If you think you can manage a single relevant comment, then post it, otherwise, hide elsewhere. But speak up, if you can truly make a statement on behalf of America, it would be a far step up from your silly little games.

Wow you made it 274 posts before you went from trying to discuss facts to insulting my English, thats a new high for you.... way to go!

Now about Linux being founded and built by leftist and foreigners:

The current list of BSD Developers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_OpenBSD_developers

There are 47 developers, only 8 are Americans 83% of the developers are foreigners.
