Y'know, I've never tried foie gras, not being a big fan of liver in other forms, but someone on an earlier thread described it as "meat-flavored butter."
If it really is, I just might have to find some.

I love liver, but I can tell you Foie Gras does not taste much like liver. Given the choice between the two, I will always choose foie. When served hot it sort of reminds me of the fatty part of bacon, but that really does not do it justice.
