Acknowledging the "South Park" flap in his acceptance speech on the stage, "Simpsons" executive producer Al Jean said, "This is what happens when you don't mock Scientology."

I honestly didn't even know the Simpsons was still on the air. I quit watching when Lisa became a liberal activist and the de facto head of the household. I think that was about eight or nine years ago.

Sometimes South Park goes over the edge, and I have to turn it off, but in terms of creativity and quality, there's simply no comparison. South Park is relevent, the Simpsons is the equivalent of the Flintstones.

The Simpsons jumped the shark many years ago.

South Park is still a hoot!

The Simpsons of late has been so terrible that it should have to give up every Emmy it has won in the past. A mockery of justice, proving the Scientologists are firmly entrenched in Hollywood and the critical press.

Oh, man, that's funny! That's a pretty classy tip of the hat to Trey and Matt, by the Simpsons folks, when you think about it.

I am still a fan and there were some great episodes but I think the Simpson’s isn't quiet as good as it once was. I always thought the Simpson’s were a commentary on pop culture in general.

But South Park goes right after the jugular of political correctness. They take no prisoners and make apologies to no one. Yes it’s crude and rude but the underlying message is often powerful and skewers the liberals more often than it does any other group. They also attack the mass media with extreme prejudice. This is why South Park remains more politically relevant than the Simpson’s

Family Guy can be very funny at times but it’s just too schizophrenic to make a statement on anything relevant. It’s like the Simpson’s with ADD on Meth.

That was classy of them. And it was a real dig against Sciencemockery and Holleyweird types that have embraced that peculiar and dangerous cult.

Jethro Tull won a Grammy in 1988... in the category of heavy metal.

They created the new category for heavy metal that year and the favorite to win, by far, was Metallica. Jethro Tull didn't even show up, as they also assumed that Metallica would win. Apparently, the weener Grammy voters were too afraid of the 'controversy' of the real heavy metal bands and so they took it upon themselves to reward Jethro Tull with a Grammy in that category since the Tull had never won one before, probably because their music doesn't really fit easily into any existing category.

Since I was a Metallica fan from their first album years before, I was watching the Grammys live expecting to see them win. When the group Jethro Tull's name was read off the card the WHOLE place immediately started booing very loudly and after about 10 seconds they cut to a commercial.
