The Ramseys went out to a Christmas party that afternoon. The house was empty for more than four hours, so an intruder had plenty of time to sneak in through that window and check the place out.
That window was covered with cobwebs and they were undisturbed....the Ramsey's may have forgotten to lock a door on their way out...
