Not true, we know his brother says HE'S A GREAT GUY and that he was getting together with the family to find old Xmas photos and to then make a recollection that they were his alibi! :-)

And if they can't find any pictures they'll put up and decorate a fake Christmas tree and stick a cardboard cutout of Karr in the middle of them and have a picture taken. The date can be altered with photoshop back to 1996.
I can just see some of the MSM running with something like this too.
