BUTLER, Pa. - Two brothers were killed in separate motorcycle accidents on the same stretch of road and within just two hours of each other. One was headed to the scene of his brothers accident.
Steven Kerr, 37, of West Sunbury, was killed late Saturday when his motorcycle crashed into a speed limit sign on state Route 38, state police said.
Less than two hours later and only about 100 yards away, 29-year-old Jeremy Kerr was fatally injured when his motorcycle crashed into the rear of a vehicle stopped in traffic on Route 38, police said.
Jeremy Kerr, of Hilliards, was speeding as he headed for the scene of his brothers accident, and traffic was stopped because emergency crews were still at the scene, officers said.
The occupants of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Butler is about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.

This was reported on the Pittsburgh TV stations today. The family name of the victims was "Kerr".
Awful! Was just in that area last week.
What a terrible tragedy, my heart and prayers go out to the family. I know what they are going through, my son came home from college to attend my father funeral. My son was killed the day after dad's funeral. It was a difficult time for me and my family. I pray that these people can survive the pain they are suffering.
Prayers for the family.
How very awful for you. May Our Lord strengthen and comfort you.
They don't call them Donorcycles for nothing...
DOPE
Thank you. Without the help of My Lord Jesus Christ, whom I called on frequently, I could not have made it through. This happened in 1984 but sometimes it seems like yesterday. These people have some really tough times ahead I hope they know Jesus.
Per mile traveled in 1998, a motorcyclist is approximately 16 times more likely to die in a crash than an automobile occupant.
Donorcycles, OMG, that is so funny! That witty and oh-so-clever remark has never been used before on a Free Republic motorcycling thread! What an original post you've shared.

What horrible and tragic news. My sympathy and best wishes go out to the family. One should avoid driving (and especially riding a motorcycle) when under significant emotional stress.

More people die taking a shower.
You got robbed. You need to look up whomever you gave it to and get your life back.
More people die taking a shower than die by shooting nails into their skulls with a framing gun. According your (brilliant)logic, that makes shooting nails into your skull with a framing gun safe....
ASS.
I don't see how I can possibly refute rock-solid logic like that.....
Motorcycles are safe. Have fun....
At first, this sounded like some kind of weird suicide pact to me.
So do you propose outlawing motorcycles and nail guns, both very near & dear to my heart?
