Scott Walker was/is an easy listening music type singer. Not bad, if you're into that kind of music.

He isn't easy listening anymore. He is very difficult listening nowadays.

His last two records owe more to the notion of postclassical lieder, in my opinion, and are certainly not catchy pop songs.
