Nothing really wrong with this stuff as long as it is voluntary.
I wouldn't outright disagree with doing any of these things and obviously everyone wants clean air, clean water and stable climate. Just don't make it law.
The problem is that it is in many areas a law
that if you don't mow your lawn, the city
comes in and mows it, then bills you for it.
One man in Lawrence Kansas took a pellet gun to
the local gendarmes for this.
