And while I'm on a rant, it still blows my mind
that a national rag like NEWSWEEK would be so
irresponsible as to print a COVER STORY,
without fact checking.

Simply calling the defense attorneys would have raised doubts about Nifong's account (the players had alibis).

Who in the world would run a cover story based on the accusation of a stripper--without even checking first to see if there might be another side to things?

(That's called "journalism in America", I guess)

The players (and I actually mean this sincerely) would have gotten a fairer shake from the National Inquirer.

Absolutely. They had the highest percentage of correct info during OJ than any other publication of any kind.
