"Thomas, a line cook at the restaurant, said Saturday he was smoking a cigarette behind the building about 11:30 p.m. when he saw a black Nissan truck speed out of the parking lot, tires squealing.

Thomas said he shouted mockingly at the driver’s raucous display. A passenger in the truck, whom he described as white, yelled a racial slur at him, Thomas said. Thomas, who is black, returned with a different racial epithet.

The truck stopped and Thomas walked to it, exchanging words with the passenger, he said. He then found himself surrounded by at least three more cars, he said.

Also, it sounds like Thomas actually has REAL injuries from an ACTUAL attack. This may be too much for DPD to handle, what with their lead sipervisor on administrative leave. Hey, but there's always Himan. Maybe he can shed some light on what REALLY happened!
