I love the plane stuff! But, on a totally different topic, does anyone know how you contact an admin moderator on FR for what you may consider an unfair (or incredibly stupid) action on their part when they leave no record of their action!!! I've had many problems with the mods, and they hide behind their anonymity relentlessly. Even DU identifies their mods, and they're ultra-sensitive to posters who don't hate properly. But I just posted an article about a kitten that survived going thru' a woodchipper, using up about 8 of its 9 lives. I noted that I wasn't sure that it was an FR topic, but late at night it might make you feel good like it did me. The mod deleted it without comment immediately. I would just like to ask why a fairly feel good story needed to be immediately deleted when there is so much crap that is permitted (remind anyone of the MSM?)
I hear ya--as I've had a couple of run-ins with the Mods myself...
On one hand, I can kinda understand why it makes sense--it would be easier to contact and figure out what set the Mods off.
OTOH, people can easily figure out who they are and a general geographic locale. This can for obvious reasons cause problems.
My guess is that it's for security and anonymity. That way, no single moderator can be singled out and hectored for a specific action (or inaction). Kinda like the blank philosophy with the firing squads (though not exactly)...
