The only way New York could end up covered in ice because of global warming would be if I really get ticked at them while I'm programming a new interplanetary launch from Antarctica.

LOL. The only other way would have to be a result of such massive warming that the southward moving glaciers already melted substantially before reaching New York. Sure, there was the Little Ice Age in Europe, and it did have devastating effects on Northern and Western Europe for a few centuries, but I suggest one consult a map before extrapolating a New Ice Age theory from such.
